The Weekly Blast 16 August 2021

This is the last week of summer and its a busy one! We have rehearsal Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as well as freshman orientation on Monday and Tuesday. Last but not least, we have our Friends and Family event on Wednesday. The schedule is as follows:

Monday

04:00 - 05:15 (Intro Focus: on the move playing)
05:15 - 06:00 (Freshman Orientation)
06:00 - 07:20 (Opener Focus: on the move playing)
07:20 - 07:30 (Production Run)
07:30 - 08:00 (Pack up/Dismissal)

Tuesday

12:00 - 01:30 (Basics/Choreo)
01:30 - 03:30 (Visual Block Focus: Opener)
03:30 - 04:00 (Snack Break)
04:00 - 05:15 (Music in Band Room)
05:15 - 06:00 (Freshman Orientation)
06:00 - 07:20 (Opener Focus: on the move playing)
07:20 - 07:30 (Production Run)
07:30 - 08:00 (Pack up/Dismissal)

Wednesday

04:00 - 04:30 (Visual Warm-up)
04:30 - 05:00 (Music Warm-up)
05:00 - 06:20 (Ensemble Intro & Opener)
06:20 - 06:30 (Production Run)
06:30 - 07:00 (Change for Performance)
07:00 - 08:00 (Friends and Family)

All students are required to bring in snacks for the snack break and are expected to come into rehearsal with breakfast and lunch already eaten. Attire for the Friends and Family event is the white gladiator shirt (white t-shirt if the student doesn't have the gladiator shirt), black adidas track pants (black pants if student doesn't own adidas track pants), black socks, and black sneakers. Color guard attire will be black shirt, black leggings, black socks, and black sneakers. The Friends and Family event will take place on the football field with bleachers (if it rains it will take place inside the cafeteria). We will need donations for the Friends and Family in the form of:

- popcorn kernels
- powdered cheddar, ranch (for popcorn)
- soda
- gatorade
- water bottles
- chips

The second fair share was due last week Monday 9 August. If you have not submitted a payment please do so ($100). Our InstaRaise fundraiser is still active (until 28 August) students should have created an account with the fundraiser website with at least 10 emails inputted. If students have 10 emails then please shoot for the 20 emails that was originally requested. We are almost half way towards our goal! Let's finish our summer rehearsals strong, see you at rehearsal!
