The Weekly Blast July 27th - August 13th, 2026

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed your break; I know I did. I hope that you all feel rejuvenated and are ready to get the next couple of weeks started! This weekly blast will be for all the camp dates leading up to the first day of school since a lot of the days the schedule will remain the same. However, the first day (tomorrow) we will have a program meeting at 8:00 AM. Parents are more than welcome to attend and if anything are highly encouraged to attend that meeting.

*During blocks students will receive breaks and time for snacks if needed. Lunch will ONLY be provided IF you opted in for the pre-order. Students are NOT allowed to leave campus. Students must bring their own lunch or parents may drop off their lunch. If students desire to have their lunch delivered then they must schedule it to arrive at 12:00 PM or they will not have time to eat lunch.


For the Friends and Family day we will do the performance in the practice fields in the form of a tailgate so please bring your own food, tables, and chairs. Be ready to hangout, talk, and just have some plain old fun as we celebrate the students for their hard work. The attire for this will be the same as afternoon football games black Adidas track pants (section leaders will make sure to send out the correct version since there are many), gray gladiator shirt, and black athletic shoes.


It is tradition that on the first day of school band, cheerleading, and dance team perform as students walk in. The attire will be khaki pants with gray gladiator band shirt (unless principal changes her mind; we will wear the traditional uniforms). Seniors may wear their crowns. Please bring the correct school polo to change into. Admin is very serious about school uniform (don't get me in trouble by you getting in trouble).


IMPORTANT

There has been lots of date changes on the Saturdays of October. Please check the calendar and deconflict; almost all the changes are competition dates. Unfortunately, some shows have been canceled so we had to move some dates around so that it can make sense logistically while keeping the 5 shows as promised for the season. We also added the football games.  This year we have six home games which is more than we have done in the past; we usually have 4-5 home games. That being said, the good thing is that we only have 1 night game (vs Goleman) and the rest are 3:30 afternoon games. On the days that is raining at the football game we will stay until 4:30 PM monitoring the weather if by that time it is still raining or thunder I will send the students home. I will also try and leave the afternoon games after halftime if the principal permits (fingers crossed). The attire for afternoon games will be black Adidas track pants, gray gladiator shirt, and black athletic shoes. The attire for the night game will be the traditional uniforms (unless the principal changes her mind we might wear the traditional uniform for all games).

Friendly reminder that the second payment was due July 15th. If you have any questions regarding fees please get in contact with your GBPA Board. 

If you wish to donate snacks, Gatorade, water, etc please bring donations in the morning so that the parent volunteers may set-up "snack carts."
