Ja’Mall Pinckney is a percussionist from Miami, FL. Mr. Pinckney started his music education at Rainbow Park Elementary, continuing at Hialeah Middle School, then to Hialeah Senior High School under the direction of Larkin Sharpe. During his time at Hialeah Senior High School he went from the baritone section to percussion his freshmen year, and flourished into a great leader for the program.
Mr. Pinckney started his education at the New World School of the Arts majoring in Percussion Performance. At New World he performed in the Symphony Orchestra, and did some chamber work there. Mr. Pinckney is currently a music eduction student at Florida International University performing with the Percussion Ensemble and Wind Ensemble.
Mr. Pinckney is also the percussion director for the Hialeah Gardens High School Indoor Percussion. The indoor percussion has placed top 10 in the state as a FFCC PSAA and PSA group.
Mr. Pinckney is very excited to continue working with the Hialeah Gardens High School Marching Band this season!
