I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and are excited for band camp this following week! The following will be the schedule for band camp: 07:00 - 12:00 1 Block 12:00 - 01:00 Lunch 01:00 - 04:30 2 Block 04:30 - 06:30 3 Block 06:30 - 07:00 Pack-up/Dismissal Please keep in mind that during all the blocks all students will have an ample amount of breaks and will be treated with snacks provided by the GBPA. If students wish to bring snacks of their own then they are able to do so. Lunch will be catered to those that brought in the "lunch catering sheet." If they did not bring in that sheet then they must bring in lunch from home. On that note, students must eat breakfast before they come in for rehearsal and must eat dinner once they arrive home after rehearsal. There will be activities during band camp. The activities are listed below: Monday - Marvel and DC (Karaoke during lunch) Tuesday - Section Wars Wednesday - Sports Day (Slip n Slide 1 block) Thursday - Throwback Thursday Friday - Class Wars (Dodgeball 1 block) Section Wars (Tuesday) Drum Majors - Rainbow Color Guard - Red Percussion - White Flutes - Green Clarinets - Purple Saxophones - Pink Trumpets - Blue Mellophones - Yellow Low Brass - Orange Class Wars Freshmen - Pink Sophomores - Green Juniors - Grey Seniors - White Tuesday - Thursday of band camp there will be uniform fittings from 07:00 am - 11:00 am. The point of contact for the InstaRaise fundraiser will be coming in at 09:00 am the Wednesday of band camp. However, this is subject to change if it does I will let you know via the BAND app. During band camp we will be painting props as well as cleaning the GBPA room. We are still in need of volunteers; it is never too late to sign up! If you wish to volunteer you may email gbpabooster@gmail.com. Rehearsals start at 07:00 am. Students must arrive at a minimum half an hour before the rehearsal starts. There will be a new 3 strike system implemented from now on for those students that have an unexcused absence or tardy. 1 - Verbal Warning 2 - Written Statement (there will be 2 copies one for myself and the other for the student) 3 - Removal from the program (With proper time management and communication no student is to be removed from the program. Band is a fun activity lets do our part to make it the best experience for EVERYONE!) There has been one last change to the calendar. Due to absences we will be modifying the rehearsal on Monday 9 August 2021. It is no longer from 04:00 - 08:00 pm it will be from 08:00 am - 08:00 pm.
