The Weekly Blast 30 August 2021

Hello Gladiators,

This past week we just finished our first fundraiser, not to worry we're off to the next one! On the 21st of September we will have a Chipotle Spirit Night from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. We will be receiving 33% of the proceeds to however says they came on behalf of the Gladiator Marching Band and Color Guard. Please let them know that they will NOT have to pay any extra costs for this. This week we will be having rehearsals Monday and Wednesday as usual, winds sectional Tuesday, a football game on Friday, and a mini-camp on Saturday. The schedule for those are as follows:

Monday

3:00 - 4:00 Stretch/Basics/Warm-ups
4:00 - 6:40 Full Ensemble: Opener Focus
6:40 - 6:45 Production Run
6:45 - 7:00 Pack-up/Dismissal
7:15 Student Pick-up

Tuesday

2:45 - 4:45 National Anthem/Alma Mater/Fight Song/Pep tunes

Wednesday

3:00 - 4:00 Stretch/Basics/Warm-ups
4:00 - 6:40 Full Ensemble: Opener Focus
6:40 - 6:45 Production Run
6:45 - 7:00 Pack-up/Dismissal
7:15 Student Pick-up

Friday

2:40 Meet in Band Room (dressed in football game attire/eaten a snack)
3:00 - 3:20 Warm-up (Full band on bleachers with all of the equipment)
3:22 Perform National Anthem
3:30 - 7:00 Attend Game/Perform Half-time/Pack-up/Dismissal
(Expect Foot Ball game to end early student pick-up may be earlier)

Saturday

08:00 - 12:00 1 Block
12:00 - 01:00 Lunch
01:00 - 05:30 2 Block
05:30 - 07:30 3 Block
07:30 - 08:00 Pack-up/Dismissal
08:15 Student Pick-up

Students should bring a boxed lunch and snacks for the mini-camp on Saturday. We are still collecting payments for the new member/percussion/color guard fees, as well as, fair-share dues. We will be having a general band parent meeting in the month of September dates and times for that is TBD. We will be going over a full treasurer's report on that date so please make sure that all parents attend! Have a great day see you Monday.
